During the winter of 2021, Slate Architecture designed a renovation of about 2,000 sf total of the waiting area, front office, floor nurse area and a medical records room in the Cancer Treatment Center. This project updated the original 2010 project to create the St. Peter’s Health Cancer Treatment Center. The waiting room features a fireplace with rock wall, digital image screen and new seating choices. The all new front reception area features four dedicated reception/check in stations for patient privacy. The Cancer Treatment Center (CTC) totals 7,2000 sf and has been relocated to an adjacent medical office building. The former CTC was crowded, lacked daylight and only offered 13 infusion chairs. The new CTC provides 27 infusion chairs, two additional exam rooms, and a procedure room. The infusion chairs offer patients a choice of private, semi-private, and group settings enveloped in natural daylight. A new corridor allows patient access to the meditation garden and the existing radiation center.
